Santogold & Bass Heat......

With all the vibe about Santogold going on you would think that there would be a mass of remixes hitting the interweb but no, well yes but the quality is definitely sub standard. Especially with my favourite track off the album (Creator) I have been supremely disappointed with the efforts of the remixers until now..
I work at a record shop in Melbourne and ordered a 12" a couple weeks ago hoping for a shinning light in all the Santo remix crap floating around. UK dub/grime newcomers Dub & Run have finally delivered on the Santo re-touch and put my hate to rest. Its a dubby delight that does not move too far away from the original but a sweet touch up none the less. Check these guys out as they are remixing all kinds of goodness like the Beatles, Young Folks and many more. Looks like they are doing it all the old fashioned way on vinyl too. So if you want more then I guess you will be using one of those big black round things to play it. If anyone out there has the acappella for Creator then please let us know (*cough cough*SEND IT IN) as I'm itching to do a little edit myself.

While I'm on the recording records to mp3's tip I thought I would share another little number with you all. Canadian Megasoid is high up on my list of hip hop producers at the moment with his super bass heavy synth productions, and this is no exception. The tune in question came from a 7" I picked up a little while ago. Its a remix seven of Ghislain Poirier's "No More Blood " featuring Face-T on vocals. The one I have posted is the dub flip side. So to get the vocal I suggest hunting it down as its HEAT!

Keep listening at the end for the little bonus one minute flip riddim. Loop that shit and roll with it cause it's heavy.
