Just Can't Hold Back

*any1 been watching those Wild China docos? Awesome.

I've been sitting on this track for a while too. I did like 4 different versions of this remix b4 i came to one that worked and i liked, and when i got going on it i completed most of the thing in like a day or 2 (which is good for me, i linger). Got the parts for "Just Can't Hold Back" and "Hold Up" (hence the vocal sample in there) from detboi ages ago, so i could do a remix for a bit of fun.

Fun Fact is that the bassline was made by chopping up his original bass, then when it changes about half way thru, that's from me freakin around with Auto Tune, trying to do that T-Pain voice thing for a bit of fun. So i thought i'd see what it sounded like over the bass, then i fucked with some settings, and wella! Well kinda, i still had to bounce some sections and do some more editing to get it sounding like it did (i phased it with itself in a weird way too). Anyway, that's why the bass has that cool kinda pulling sound, it's from auto tune pulling the sound in and outta place.

Ok, so enuf with geek facts. The tune itself i'm really pleased with. It's just good for some dancefloor fun. It's got a bit of a 2-step drum riddim, a bassline to boot, some baile vocals, and some classic "wuts" to get your Wu-Tang symbols up in the air pumpin.

Also in more good news. Me and Keaton Bale and Sauceface have teamed up officially for our Digital Manges Project. We've got an EP due out on Palmsout soonish, so that's real exciting, got some great remixers lined up too.
Also the Slap & Dash (consisting of me and mu-gen aka scattermish & Mu-Gen are...) remix project of Bangers & Cash is getting closer to completion. We've also done a remix for melbourne band, Young Lovers, which is getting released soon, and has created some nice hype. Me and Mu-Gen are also doing a tour around Oz with a 4-deck and a bit more live set, in support of Pase Rock, so be sure to see him when he comes in august i think.
