Prince William

Damn, i just gotta say, this post is too much awesome. Annnd it's not about prince william, hooray!
First up, Leaky Holes In Your Brain went down a treat on saturday, big up to everyone who came down. The beats were fresh, Buffer did some dope masking tape, and new VJ crew Projector Obscura had some mad visuals going on. It was pretty nicely packed most of the time, the dancefloor was good, people were getting down, the dance room was at least full pretty much the whole time. Dude i had a fucked up experience tho, my computer was sitting on this cushioned chair for obviously too long, and the fucker overheated and crashed on me mid set! Was fucked up! Dancefloor obviously died for a bit, and i had to chuck on some random records then a CD or two before i loaded everything up again, so that fucked shit up and i was pissed, but things got better quickly, the rest of the set was good, people still hung out, and Loot came on to do some saving... Oh for those who are interested, we now have the night as a regular monthly, it's going to be the 4th Saturday of every month at Loop Bar. If it keeps going the way it has, the nights will keep getting better and better, and hell, summer is coming up. Look out basically, i know it's early, but it's already one of the best nights for doing what we do, which no one else really is tho ay. Me and Buffer are gonna go into talks about expanding ScatterBUFF stuff, so it's gonna explode, mark my words. Oh and big up to the late night dance crew too! What i dug was the last person on the dancefloor, was 48 (i know cause she was a friend of a friend of a friend), she was up there till like 4.30am, and i thought she was like 30. If i'm anywhere near that form at 50 i'll be happy.

Anyway enuf of the babbling, here's the music part of the post:

Anyway onto some overload. So i've been following William Russell to an extent the last while, got his Lily Allen Smile remix, then heard the Hurricane Chris remix which blew me away some more. Then i recently got the joy of listening to some Jokers Of The Scene tracks (Their new stuff is soooo damn fresh! They'll be dropping an EP some time soon thru Fools Gold). You might remember they did a redo of Young Leek's Jiggle It tune (Juggle It)... Well William Russell did a remix of that, and god damn is it good (check it over at his myspace). So i was like i gotta get onto this dude and get some more tracks off him. Then he brought the rain!
There's a whole bunch of his remixes, and seriously, every one of them is bloody good, and everyone i'm gonna take out to play. They're all at 320k, for djs on the hizzay, who might like to eat some hay, or lay of the bay, they just may.

There's some interesting prospects on the horizon for Russell too. Jiggle it is due out soon, also he tells me that A-Trak dropped the tracks to Kid Sister's Control in his email just the other day, so that could be comin out on a 12" of hers, which sounds all too cool. (Has anyone hear her rhyme over the Sinden & Count track Beeper yet? It's meant to be dope.) There was also mention of an EP for On The Brink too, but that hasn't happened, but there is original stuff in the works, although he's focusing on remix projects at the moment. He's open to any bands or artists sending him stuff to work on, so hit him up a msg at his myspace if you're interested. If you need proof of his talents, check the tunes:
